Frequently Asked Questions

Q1

What services do you provide?

I offer 1:1 personal training sessions and free consultations. Group classes and boxing sessions are coming soon. All training is in-person for now, but online programs may be available in future.

Q2

Is the consultation really free?

Yes - absolutely. Your first consultation is free and no-obligation. It’s a chance for us to meet, chat about your goals, and see if we’re a good fit.

Q3

How do I book a session or consultation?

Use the 'Contact' button across the site or visit the Contact page. I’ll get back to you quickly to arrange a time that works for both of us.

Q4

What if I can’t make a session?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
No-shows or late cancellations may be charged or result in the session being lost. I understand life happens - but repeat last-minute changes may affect future bookings.

Q5

What if I don’t show up to a session?

No-shows are treated as a missed session and may not be refunded or rescheduled. Respecting each other’s time is important - if you communicate in advance, I’ll always try to be understanding.

Q6

Can GymBob provide me with a meal plan?

No - I’m not a licensed nutritionist. As a Level 3 Personal Trainer, I can give general healthy eating guidance and habits that support your fitness goals. For medical conditions or tailored meal plans, I recommend speaking with a registered dietitian.

Q7

I have an injury or medical condition — can I still train?

Possibly - depending on your situation. We'll discuss this in your consultation, and you'll fill out a health form beforehand. Always consult your GP if you’re unsure whether you’re fit to exercise.

Q8

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept payments via Stripe and PayPal. Payment is due before your session unless agreed otherwise.

Q9

Do you offer refunds?

In general, refunds are not offered once training has started. Exceptions may be made in rare cases at my discretion. If you’re ever unhappy, talk to me - I want to make sure you get value.

Q10

Do you train beginners?

Yes - most of my clients start as beginners. I’ll guide you step by step, at your pace, with no judgment.

Q11

Can I bring a friend to a session?

Sometimes! Let me know in advance and we can discuss options like group sessions or shared training.

Q12

What should I bring to my first session?

Just comfortable gym clothes, a water bottle, and a positive mindset. I’ll take care of the rest.
